The working principle of the chiller
Through the refrigerant circulation system, water circulation system and electrical automatic control system work together to achieve cooling.
The chiller consists of four main components: compressor, evaporator, condenser and expansion valve, which realizes the cooling and heating effect of the unit.
Compressor operation: The compressor inhales the low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant gas, and compresses it into a high-temperature and high-pressure gas through mechanical compression.
Note: Low temperature and low pressure gas ➡ High temperature and pressure gas
Condenser heat release: After the high temperature and high pressure refrigerant gas enters the condenser, it carries out heat exchange with the cooling medium (such as water or air), and transfers heat to the cooling medium, so that the refrigerant gas is condensed into a high-pressure liquid.
Note: High temperature and high pressure gas ➡ High-pressure liquid
Expansion valve throttling pressure reduction: When the high-pressure liquid refrigerant passes through the expansion valve, it is throttled, and the pressure and temperature are rapidly reduced, becoming a low-temperature and low-pressure liquid refrigerant.
Note: High pressure liquid ➡ Low temperature and low pressure liquid
Evaporator heat vaporization: After the low temperature and low pressure liquid refrigerant enters the evaporator, it exchanges heat with the medium (such as water or air) that needs to be cooled, absorbs the heat in the medium and vaporizes into a low temperature and low pressure gas.
Note: Low temperature and low pressure liquid ➡ Low temperature and pressure gas
After the completion of evaporation and heat absorption, the refrigerant gas is inhaled by the compressor again, and a new round of compression, condensation, throttling and evaporation process is started, so as to realize the continuous cycle operation of the refrigeration system.
